Running a Quick Report
-
Click + New Report.
-
Select a Report Category to display the list of relevant reports.
-
Select a specific report to run.
For example, if you selected the Policy report category you can select the Expired Policies report.
-
Optional: Add a Report Title.
-
Check your report filters.
You can
Clear the filter, if needed.
To display accurate results, some reports require filter selections before running, such as a date range for a Cancelled Policies report, or selecting an agent for a Agent of Record report.
If filters are available for your chosen report, they will be listed below the Report Title field. Apply them before running the report. If no pre-report filters are available, you can narrow the results after the report is finished.
See To summarize and further filter data for more information on report filtering options. -
Conditional: Set the report to run as a downloadable CSV spreadsheet.
Some reports include a Download as CSV option before running. This is usually found on report types that tend to be longer or contain much more data than others, and as such may be much slower to view in your web browser.
If you select this option, HawkSoft creates a CSV file with all report results, rather than displaying the report on-screen in your browser. The report is added to your Recent Reports list, where you can download the file once processing is complete.
See How do I access a Download-Only report? for more details on downloading these reports once complete.
-
Optional: Use the Select Layout drop down to select a saved layout.
When you select a report, the system remembers the last layout used. The next time you open that report, the drop-down selects the last saved layout used for that report.
-
Click Run Report.
A new tab will open with your report and your report is automatically listed under Recent Reports.
To learn how to use filters, customize columns, and summarize your report, see Customize, Summarize, and Filter Report Data.
For information on 1-click reports, see 1-Click Reports.
For information on saving, sharing and exporting reports, see Saving and Sharing Report Data.
Video example: Creating a Renewal Report
The following help video gives an example of using Quick Reports to run a Renewal Report, including how to filter the report, and how to summarize the report to group non-downloaded policies using the "Policy Downloads" column.

Policy Reports provide information about your policies, such as Lines of Business, policies with pending cancellations, or a list of all policies by agent.
HawkSoft recommends limiting the date range of your report. Longer date ranges can significantly increase the time to run a report and to interact with it. If you need to run a report covering large date ranges, consider running multiple reports in 1-month increments.
When running a policy report, you can now add three columns that are designed to give you an insight into reconciled commissions on those policies:
Total Agency Commission - The total amount of agency commission paid for all reconciled transactions on the policy.
Total Reconciled Transactions - The total number of reconciled commission transaction on the policy.
Last Reconciled Date - The most recent reconcile date among reconciled transactions on the policy.

Recent Reports
Reports ran in the past 7 days are listed under
. You can
View,
Save,
Share, Save as 1-Click Report,
Rename, or Delete recent reports.
After opening a recent report, you can click ⟳ Re-sync report data to run a fresh copy of your current report, keeping the same columns.
You can select any number of reports on the Recent Reports list using the checkboxes, then click
to delete them from the list. Recent reports are also automatically deleted 7 days after the date created.
To save reports for a longer period or save them as 1-Click Reports, see 1-Click Reports.
Some reports have a Download as CSV option, which creates a csv file containing all of the report results instead of displaying the report in a new tab. This option outputs all columns available to that report and is useful when running reports too large for the report viewer to display and when you need the report for records keeping.
When Download-Only reports are ready for download, HawkSoft adds a Download Only chip next to the Report Title in the Recent Reports list. Click on the report title to begin downloading. Depending on your browser settings you may be prompted to select a location to save the report to, or it may save to your Downloads folder automatically. For especially large reports, you will see a progress bar indicating the report's download progress.
The report will download as a zip file containing the csv report.
