Report Recipe: Line of Business Combination Report

This article provides a step-by-step guide to running a report for customers based on which lines of business you write for them and which lines of business you do not. See Report Recipes for a list of more guides to running particular reports.

You might choose to run this report to find information such as cross-sell candidate lists, policies with Home but no Flood, Auto but no Home, or other similar scenarios.

Once you run your report, the following articles will help you leverage the data: Customize, Summarize, and Filter Report Data and Saving and Sharing Report Data.

Report of line of business combinations

To quickly create this report:

  1. Open Quick Reports.

  2. Click + New Report.

  3. Select the Policy category, and choose Line of Business Policy Report.

  4. Optional: Change the Report Title, as desired.

  5. Select the Lines of Business you want clients to have, and which ones they should be missing.

    1. Select the All LOB(s) radio button.

    2. Select the Line(s) of Business (LOB(s)) that the client should have for this report from the Has LOBs drop-down.

This will look for active policies that contain all of the listed LOB(s).

    3. Select the LOB(s) that the client should not have for this report from the Missing all of these LOBs (optional) drop-down.

This will exclude policies for customers who have a current policy with any of the missing LOBs.

For example, to find customers with home but no flood, select HOME in the Has LOBs drop-down, and Flood in the Missing LOBs drop-down.

  6. Click Run Report.

A detailed report of policies that match the selected LOB, and are on clients that do not have a policy with the Missing LOB(s), is displayed.

From here, see Customize, Summarize, and Filter Report Data, Saving and Sharing Report Data, and Batch Actions from Reports to leverage the data in your report.
