ACORD Forms Overview
ACORD© (the Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development) is a non-profit standards developer for the insurance industry. ACORD publishes and maintains a large library of standardized forms used for the exchange of policy and coverage information.
HawkSoft contains a library of ACORD forms that populates with client and policy information, increasing efficiency and accuracy. Details for each form can be filled in prior to printing or emailing.
The ACORD forms listed here are a sampling of those available in HawkSoft.
Creating and Modifying ACORD Forms
HawkSoft enables you to generate ACORD© forms with prefilled client/policy information. You can create one form at a time, or several forms can be created and saved as a bundle. Once created, you can email, print, and attach the form, as well as send the form for e-Signature.
This article includes general instructions for generating and modifying ACORD forms, such as the ACORD 125, ACORD 126, or ACORD 140.

ACORD Form Instruction Guide
The Forms Instruction Guides (FIGs) give specific field level instructions on the data that is expected in every field of the associated form.
The FIG numbers listed in this TOC represent the ACORD form number. Select the FIG number for details for that form.
ACORD Form Defaults
HawkSoft enables you to set customized default values for fields on ACORD forms. You can select a form to add defaults to, then type in the information you would like to be populated into any fields when you create those forms going forward. This can be useful if there are certain fields that should always be filled with the same information in specific ACORD forms that your agency creates.
Creating ACORD Form Categories
HawkSoft enables you to create custom categories for ACORD® Forms. You may want to create categories for the ACORD forms your agency uses most often. ACORD form categories are typically created during the process of generating an ACORD form.
Generating an Auto ID Card
HawkSoft enables you to generate ID Cards for your clients from an Auto policy. By default, ID cards are generated for a 30 day time frame and are meant to serve as a temporary card until a replacement card is issued by the insuring carrier. Dates can be adjusted manually at the time the card is being issued, or by changing the default ID Card Days in General Configuration.
State Specific ID Cards
HawkSoft enables you to generate Auto ID Cards for your clients to serve as proof of auto liability insurance. Some states may require Auto ID Cards to be printed in a state-specific form, with some states further requiring state-specific information to appear on the Auto ID Card, such as a unique "Company Number" issued to the carrier by the state.
This article includes steps for printing state-specific ID cards (including how to use the New York ID Card Generator for policies located in the state of New York), as well as steps for configuring state-specific company numbers/codes in HawkSoft Carrier Setup.

Generating a Binder
HawkSoft makes it easy to generate a binder for an Auto, Home, or Commercial policy using the ACORD© 075 Insurance Binder. This form provides temporary proof of insurance until the policy is issued by the carrier.
HawkSoft automatically populates the form with agency, carrier, client, coverage, and vehicle or property information from the client and policy. Additional information must be entered manually.
Loss Notices
HawkSoft enables you to create an ACORD© Property Loss Notice 001 and Automobile Loss Notice 002, auto-populated with client/policy information. Once created, you can email, print, and attach the form, as well as send the form for e-Signature.
This article includes instructions for adding Auto Loss Notices, and Home or Property Loss Notices.
Certificate of Liability and Certificate Holders
HawkSoft enables you to easily create and manage the Certificates of Liability in a customer file.
