Review Trust Accounting Report
HawkSoft enables you to generate a report of all Trust Accounting transactions for an individual date or a specific date range. Each transaction included in the report represents funds to be deposited in the agency bank account. This article will help you run and then review the Trust Accounting report.
Before recording the deposit in QuickBooks, run the Trust Accounting Report for the time-frame in which receipts for the payments were created. When you review a Trust Accounting report, compare the day's deposit total with the information on the report. This should account for all cash, check, and credit transactions.
The Trust Accounting Report can include:
- Receipts for payments
- Invoices
- Credit Memos
- Company Payable checks
This article describes the steps to generate a Trust Accounting Report.
The Trust Accounting Report does not include payments that are made directly to the Carrier.
In order to complete this task, user permissions must be set to include:
Accounting Reporting > Access Trust Accounting Report
Accounting Reporting > Access Company/Agency Payables Reports and Workflows
See User Permissions for more information.

Mark Transactions as Do Not Transfer
This option allows you to remove transactions from the Trust Accounting Report. This option is useful when you do not want to send transactions to QuickBooks. For example, when you are creating opening balances in HawkSoft, sending the transaction to QuickBooks will create a duplicate transaction.
Check the box next to each transaction you do not want to export to QuickBooks from the Trust Accounting Report.
Click the Do Not Transfer button.
The Set item(s) to "Do Not Transfer" dialog opens.
Click the Mark "Do Not Transfer" button.
All transactions you selected will be removed from the report.
This feature is also helpful for agencies who do not integrate with QuickBooks. You can use this to clear the report when you make a deposit.
