Agency Wide Settings
This article is intended to help you configure settings for a wide range of HawkSoft workflows that your agency performs daily. Taking the time to make sure these settings support your workflow can increase efficiency, accuracy, and usability.
Be sure to set up your agency office(s) information prior to configuring these settings. See Agency Configuration Overview for more information.
Customization Options
HawkSoft offers a variety of ways to customize your management system to suit your agency's workflows.
The following articles are intended to help you customize your HawkSoft to improve your agency workflows.
General Settings
The General Settings are available from General Configuration and Agency Setup. These settings determine default behavior for your agency preferences and workflows. This article will guide you through the configuration of important settings for your agency.
Under Construction! As we continue to move settings to the cloud, you will find some settings in Agency Setup and other settings in General Configuration. This article includes information for settings in both areas of the program.
Required Fields
As an agency administrator, there are specific client and policy fields that you want to make certain your CSRs complete when inserting a new client and/or a new policy. Within your General Configuration settings, you have the option to configure a select group of fields to either present the user with a reminder to complete the information, or force the user to complete the information before saving.
Configuring Required Fields for your Agency
Phone Dial-Out Integration
HawkSoft enables you to configure your phone system to integrate with your agency's HawkSoft database. This integration enables you to place outbound calls from within a client with the click of a mouse, and to open an inbound caller's client as soon as you receive a call.
Depending on your provider, different configuration options are available. Most providers enable you to configure both outbound dialing and inbound call screen pops with HawkSoft.
If your provider has configured inbound calls, HawkSoft either opens the client automatically, or displays a dialog with the option to open the client.
Print Settings
Agencies with more than one office can configure Print Settings to determine the information printed on agency documents, such as correspondence and ACORD forms. This article will guide you through the configuration of print settings in HawkSoft.
Access Management
IP Access Management, also known as the IP Allow List, provides administrators the ability to restrict login access to HawkSoft from specific IP addresses. Domain Access Management provides administrators the ability to restrict login to workstations inside of the agency's Azure domain, network domain, or to users who have VPN access to that domain. These restrictions can be applied to all admins, to all non-admins, or to individual users.
This feature is inactive by default. If your agency does not need to restrict access, simply leave the feature disabled. When enabled, IP and Domain access management applies to HawkSoft Desktop. IP Access Management also applies to HawkSoft in the Web and HawkSoft Agent Portal.
