Forgot Password

You can reset your own password from the HawkSoft Login screen in the event that you have forgotten your password.

This article covers how to reset your password from the Login screen.

Important! Using the Forgot Password feature requires a validated Account Email to be associated with your user profile.

If you have not yet associated an Account Email with your profile and you have forgotten your password, have an agency administrator reset your password. Upon successfully logging in, you will be prompted to verify your Account Email.

To reset a forgotten password

Once you have associated your Account Email address with HawkSoft Cloud, you can reset a forgotten password on your own from the HawkSoft login window.

1. Double-click the HawkSoft icon on your desktop.
2. Enter your User Initials.

3. Click I forgot my password.

   A confirmation prompt appears.

4. Click Yes to request a password reset.

   A message appears informing you that, if the initials have an associated Account Email, a temporary password has been sent to the address.

5. Open the Inbox for the email address you associated with your HawkSoft profile and locate the "HawkSoft Account Forgot Password" email.

   If the code does not arrive after 5 minutes, check your email's junk folder. If it is not in the junk folder, click I forgot my password to try again.
   
   An email will only be sent to Account Emails that have been validated. Check with your Agency Administrator to verify that your email has been validated in your user profile.

6. Copy the temporary password from the email you received from HawkSoft.

7. Paste the temporary password into the Login window, and then click Login.

   The Reset Password dialog opens.

8. Enter a new password for your HawkSoft profile in both Password fields.

9. Optional: Check the Remember Me box to store your credentials for your next login on this device.

10. Click OK.

    You are now logged into HawkSoft, and your password has been reset.
