Text Messaging (Email-to-SMS) Overview

HawkSoft users can subscribe to a third-party email-to-text messaging service provider and send text messages directly from a client. This feature enables you to use your existing mobile number.

Comparing Text Message Options

As an alternative to using a third-party email-to-text messaging service provider, HawkSoft offers the HawkSoft Text Messaging feature as a built-in add-on feature. HawkSoft Text Messaging enables you to send text messages to your clients and manage their replies directly from HawkSoft.

HawkSoft Text Messaging	Email-to-SMS Services
Available through HawkSoft Marketplace at an additional cost of $20 per month per agency.	Requires a paid subscription from a supported third-party Email-to-SMS provider. See User Text Messaging Integration.
Enables real-time text message conversations with clients from a central phone number, different from the agency's existing phone number. Upon request, and for a one-time fee of $99, HawkSoft can use the agency's existing phone number with HawkSoft Text Messaging. See Your texting number for more information.	Sends text messages to clients via email. The number that these text messages appear to come from depends on the Email-to-SMS provider. See Sending Text Messages with Email-to-SMS.
Each client's full text message history is viewable directly from within the client and various texting views.	Replies from clients are sent back to an email address.
Users can send a text from the Action menu, main toolbar, and various texting views.	Users can send a text from the Action menu.
Users are notified in HawkSoft when a text is received and can watch the conversation. Users can also process text messages and attach texts to a client, log notes, or a PDF.	Replies from clients are sent back to an email address.
When a text message is received from a number that does not match a client, those texts are collected in the Unmatched Texts view.
