User Phone Dial-Out Integration

You can configure your phone system to integrate with HawkSoft. Integrating your phone system with HawkSoft enables you to place outbound calls from within a client.

Phone dial-out integration for your entire agency can be configured by your agency administrator. To use the phone integration set up by your administrator, you do not need to do any setup on this dialog. See Phone System Integration for additional information on agency-wide phone integration.

However, your User Preferences enable you to override the phone provider selected in General Configuration if you prefer to set up a different phone integration for yourself.

This article explains how to set up a phone dial-out integration for yourself from User Preferences.

Phone Dial-Out Integration only configures outgoing calls. To set up Screen Pops (incoming call integration), see Incoming Call Integration.

Additionally, your agency's phone dial-out integration must first be configured in Agency Wide Settings  before you can configure your own unique phone provider.

To configure Phone Dial-Out Integration

  1. Click the Override Setup > General Configuration Setting checkbox to choose a different phone provider.

  2. Select a phone provider from the drop-down menu.

Selecting Windows Application from the Phone Provider drop-down menu enables you to launch a program installed on your computer. Enter the program path and any merge fields required (such as client name or phone number) into the Command Line field, as needed. All supported merge fields are listed in the dialog.

    1. Enter a Username and Password if required by your phone provider.

Username and Password fields will appear in the dialog for phone providers which require login credentials.

  3. Optional: Enter a phone number and click Call Now to test the integration.

HawkSoft will now use this phone system to when placing calls directly to clients.
