Essentials Part I - Navigation and Overview
Essentials Part II - Working Efficiently and Protecting your Agency Essentials
Essentials Part III - Creating and Managing your Daily Tasks
The Start Page enables you to quickly view a summary of your assigned tasks, stay up-to-date on agency announcements, view the latest HawkSoft news and release highlights, and easily navigate to a variety of commonly used tools, features, and resources in HawkSoft.
HawkSoft stores all client information and policies in the client view. Inside of the client, each policy has a policy view which can be used to view all information pertaining to that policy. Clients can be accessed by using the
button. This article contains two videos: one which gives a tour of the client view, and another which gives a tour of the policy view.
This article covers how to use the Client Search feature to retrieve clients by searching within HawkSoft to deliver reliable and detailed search results. You can also search for data within clients, such as business name, email, property addresses, additional contact names, phone numbers, and more.
The Action menu is a transaction wizard that provides users with the tools to manage clients and policies, and to document transactions. All changes made to clients and policies are made using the Action menu.
HawkSoft enables you to create a permanent record of your agency’s actions and contacts within the client. These log notes create an important history for each client’s requests and policy activity. Log notes are an important part of state-required record keeping and can be subpoenaed in the event of legal action. For this reason, they can be voided, but cannot be deleted.
Once documents are attached to the client/policy, they are easily accessed from the Attachments tab in that client/policy.
The Attachments screen displays all files attached to the corresponding client or policy, listed by attachment date.
You can use the right-click menu to open, modify, and manage attachments. The following articles provide instructions for working with attachments.
Tasks are reminders to complete or follow-up on an action for a client and policy, or can also serve as non-client related reminders. You can create, edit, and update tasks from a client, policy, log notes, attachments, and the Task Center. Based on user permissions, your agency can create task templates, categories, and default task rules to help standardize, track, and automate task creation to ensure consistency.
