Agent-level Commission Features (Commission Rules & Agent Payout)
New Agent Commission features help agencies calculate and manage agent payouts from reconciled agency commission transactions, based on the agency’s custom commission rules. This allows agencies to manage the entire commission process within HawkSoft using intuitive, versatile, and robust workflows. See Commission Tracking Overview for more information.
At this time, HawkSoft 6 does not automatically create “estimated” commission transactions based on policy events like renewal, as in HawkSoft 5. This functionality will be added at a future date after Phase 3 of the release is complete. For the time being, transactions from any sources outside of downloads (such as PDF statements) must be imported via spreadsheet or entered manually.
You may be able to convert a PDF commission statement to a CSV file that you can import. See Managing and Reconciling PDF Commission Statements for more information.

Administrators can set the pay type (percentage of agency commission or commissionable premium, flat amount, etc), percentage/amount for, and applicable policy terms (New, Renew, Rewrite) for each rule.
For commission splits, rules for Agents 2 and/or 3 can be set to receive a percentage of Agents 1 and/or 2 commission.
Agent Payout
Once agency commission received has been reconciled, administrators can use the new Agent Payout tab to calculate and review the payout for agents. See Agent Commission Payout for more information.
After selecting the date range and carriers for the payout, an agent payout list will be created, calculated using the agency's commission rules.
Administrators can select which transactions from the list to include in the payout, and can manually adjust payout amounts if needed. Once the payout is completed, the paid transactions will be removed from the payout list.
In the Agent Paid Statements tab, administrators can export CSV files for each agent paid within a specified date range to share with the agent.
New Agent Commission Paid Reports from the Reports tab can be run to display all commission transactions that have been reconciled and paid within a specified date range. These reports can be filtered or summarized by agent as desired.
